| Hands On provided its first hand car wash in at a Sainsbury's supermarket in 1996. Since then, we’ve been expanding our coverage across the south of England and beyond.
We can now offer the modern superstore or supermarket a fully rounded offering of logistical support services, including waste management, trolley collection and store security.
Profile – Rick Plowman
Hands On is the brainchild of Rick Plowman. Rick is the founder and CEO of the business, which he started in 1995, opening his first site a year later.
Rick believes passionately that the delivery of excellent, consistent service is the foundation stone of the business and ensures its delivery from the top of the organisation downwards. While overseeing the development of the business, Rick still finds time to visit at least one site every day.

Formerly a Store Director at Sainsbury's, John has been with the group since 2001. He is responsible for the day-to-day running of operations and the implementation of Rick’s commitment to the highest levels of quality and service.
